GCT supplies and installs Gerflor, Graboplast and DLW vinyl flooring across Egypt: homogeneous and heterogeneous sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), safety flooring and conductive floors for hospitals, hotels, schools, banks and offices. Stock in Cairo, a branch in Alexandria, and our own certified installation team.
Vinyl flooring for every environment, since 1998.
Vinyl flooring (PVC flooring) is the most specified resilient floor in Egypt’s hospitals, clinics, hotels, schools and bank branches, and GCT has been supplying and installing it for more than 25 years. We work with architects and consultants at the design stage so the right vinyl is written into the specification before the tender is issued, then we supply from Cairo stock and install with our own trained team.
Our core range is Gerflor, France’s global leader in vinyl flooring: Mipolam homogeneous vinyl, Taralay heterogeneous vinyl and Creation luxury vinyl tiles and planks. We also supply Graboplast vinyl and DLW linoleum, together with the F-Ball levelling compounds, primers and adhesives that every vinyl installation depends on.
Every product we supply comes with full technical documentation: datasheets, fire classification, slip-resistance ratings, VOC certificates and manufacturer warranties, available the same day for specification and tender submissions. See our technical downloads or ask for a specific datasheet.
Types of vinyl flooring we supply in Egypt.
Vinyl is not one product. Choosing between homogeneous, heterogeneous and LVT, and between standard, safety and conductive grades, decides how a floor performs over ten or twenty years of traffic, cleaning and wear. These are the main types we specify and install.
Where our vinyl floors are already working.
- Healthcare: Gerflor Mipolam homogeneous vinyl at the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation in Aswan and in hospitals and clinics across Egypt, chosen for certified hygienic performance and ease of maintenance.
- Hospitality: Gerflor Creation LVT across the public areas and guest floors of the Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, and premium vinyl at the Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh.
- Culture & government: Gerflor vinyl and entrance systems at the Grand Egyptian Museum, specified for fire rating, acoustic performance and heavy foot traffic.
- Banking: premium vinyl in hundreds of branches for Egypt’s leading banks and financial institutions.
- Education & petroleum: international schools, universities and the offices of major energy-sector clients.
Sector-by-sector reference lists are available on our List of Reference page and on request.
Vinyl is specified when a floor has to be hygienic, quiet, easy to clean and economical over a long life. In Egypt that means hospital wards and operating departments, hotel guest floors and back-of-house areas, school classrooms and corridors, bank branches, call centres and open-plan offices, laboratories, nurseries, gyms and residential units where water resistance and low maintenance matter.
If you are unsure which type suits a space, send us the drawings or room schedule and our technical team will recommend the product, thickness and wear class for each area. See our featured projects for more examples.
A vinyl floor is only as good as its installation.
Most vinyl floor failures in Egypt come from the subfloor, not the product: residual moisture, uneven screeds, the wrong adhesive or seams that were never welded. GCT controls the whole process from specification to handover.
Vinyl flooring prices in Egypt.
The price of vinyl flooring in Egypt depends on the type (homogeneous, heterogeneous or LVT), the total thickness and wear layer, the surface treatment, the quantity, and whether subfloor preparation and installation are included. A homogeneous hospital floor with welded seams and coved skirting is priced very differently from a loose-lay LVT in an apartment, and both are priced differently from the budget rolls sold in retail markets.
We quote per square metre, supplied and installed, with a bill of quantities that separates material, subfloor preparation, accessories and labour so consultants and contractors can compare like for like. Send us your drawings or room areas and we will return a quotation within 24 hours, Sunday to Thursday.

What is vinyl flooring made of?
Vinyl flooring is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin combined with plasticisers, pigments, stabilisers and fillers, usually finished with a polyurethane surface treatment that makes it easier to clean. It is produced as sheets (rolls) or as tiles and planks.
What is the difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl?
Homogeneous vinyl has one composition through its whole thickness, so the entire product is the wear layer and it suits hospitals and heavy-traffic areas. Heterogeneous vinyl is built in layers: a printed design layer, a transparent wear layer and a backing that can add acoustic insulation, which gives more design choice at a lower cost.
Is vinyl flooring suitable for hospitals in Egypt?
Yes. Homogeneous vinyl such as Gerflor Mipolam is the standard hospital floor worldwide because seams are hot-welded, the floor can be coved up the wall for a sealed, hygienic finish, and it resists disinfectants and heavy trolley traffic. Conductive versions are used in operating theatres and intensive care units.
What is integrated (coved) skirting?
Integrated skirting is an installation technique where the same vinyl is carried up the wall over a cove former, removing the floor-to-wall joint where dirt and bacteria collect. It is standard in healthcare and food-preparation areas.
What is the difference between impact sound insulation and room sound insulation?
Impact sound insulation is the reduction in noise transmitted from one floor to the room below, usually achieved with an acoustic backing. Room sound insulation is how much walking noise is absorbed within the room itself.
Can vinyl flooring be used in wet areas?
Yes, with the right product. Safety vinyl with slip-resistant surfaces is designed for kitchens, bathrooms, changing rooms and ramps, and all sheet vinyl can be installed with welded seams so water cannot reach the subfloor.
How long does vinyl flooring last?
Correctly specified and installed commercial vinyl typically performs for 10 to 20 years, and manufacturers back their commercial ranges with written warranties. Subfloor preparation, adhesive and the cleaning regime matter as much as the product itself.
Do you supply vinyl flooring outside Cairo?
Yes. We hold stock in Cairo, have a branch in Alexandria and install across Egypt, including Upper Egypt and the Red Sea resorts.
